4-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Golden Monkey Safari

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be joyfully and kindly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to your booked accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay. You will have a detailed briefing on your tour itinerary by our staff.

After a hearty breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start on your Kigali city tour. Enjoy the beautiful view of the emerging hills and drive to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Here, over 256,000 victims of the Rwandan genocide of 1994 were laid to rest as a sign of respect to their bodies. You will then drive to the Volcanoes National Park, the home of mountain gorillas. `Have an en-route stopover to take some beautiful photos and have a great view of the rolling landscape. You will relax at your lodge, enjoy the property amenities and prepare for your next day's gorilla trekking activity. You will spend the evening at the lodge.

On this special day, you will have the rare opportunity to observe the famous Rwandan mountain gorillas. Tracking the gorillas through the forested slopes of Virunga is a magical experience. You will be allowed a period of 1 hour with these primates, as you take photos and watch the juveniles play about. The whole trekking experience can last 2 – 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' movement. You will be back at the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy some relaxation at the lodge or we'll take you to the gorilla guardians to enjoy and experience the unique culture of the Rwandese. Later, drive back to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Enjoy the property amenities and leisure time.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari driver-guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You then start off your day with golden monkey trekking, in search of these primates in the jungle. Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Kigali. If time allows, you can go shopping in the local markets before your outbound airport transfer you back home.
