This 9-day safari is carefully crafted to combine authentic cultural experiences with the unforgettable spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Designed to maximize your chances of witnessing this incredible natural event, the itinerary focuses on the Northern Serengeti, where, between June and October, thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River as they move between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti. This period also offers exceptional predator activity, with excellent opportunities to see crocodiles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards in action, creating some of the most dramatic and thrilling wildlife encounters in Africa.

Itinerary
Upon arrival, you'll meet your driver and transfer from the airport to your lodge in Arusha. You will have optional activities to visit one of the famous Art Gallerias downtown Arusha which is one of the city's icons. You can also visit the famous Arusha Maasai Central Market for wood crafts, and paintings and join the learning to make bracelets. You will have a relaxing day ready for your exciting next day.

Today, you will explore Tarangire. It is one of Tanzania's largest national parks and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six hundred elephants. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, you can be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park for a half-day game drive. You will have a lunch box continuing with a drive to the park. You will have lunch in the park and later go for game drives. In Lake Manyara, expect to see animals such as lions, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, impalas, warthogs, elephants, hippos, and more than 300 bird species. You will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

You'll drive from the Highview Hotel to Lake Eyasi. You will see great birdlife along the shore, and the location alone makes it a great place to spend a couple of nights. Also, the meadows along the lake shores and forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife including leopards, hippos, a variety of monkeys, various birds, greater and lesser flamingoes, storks, and pelicans. Several pleasant, private campsites are located in forest clearings by the lake, and these provide grassy tent spaces and shower facilities made mostly from local materials. You'll drive back to the Highview Hotel for your overnight stay on full board.

After breakfast, you will depart Lake Eyasi for Serengeti. The drive can take up to 4 hours and it’s the perfect way to see different shades of Tanzania’s ever-changing landscapes. The arid scenery will slowly be exchanged for the lusher and greener surroundings of the Rift Valley. You'll enjoy a full day doing game drives in Northern Serengeti in the Wogatende (Mara River area) to take in the great migration experience. If you are lucky, you may witness a Mara river crossing, Northern Serengeti has beautiful rocky outcrops that are easy for predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants.
Your overnight stay will be at Ikoma Wild Camp.

Today, you will have a full day to explore the Northern Serengeti and hopefully see the river crossings. You'll break the day into morning and afternoon game drives or take lunch boxes for a full-day game drive. You will have an opportunity to see one of the Serengeti geographical features rocky outcrops which is very important in the Serengeti ecosystem. Your overnight stay will be at the camp.

The Serengeti offers diverse habitats, ranging from wooden forests to open plains, sheltering a plethora of animals, roving or leaping, flying or crawling. Serengeti National Park is home to Africa’s Big Five. It is one of the best places in the world to spot lions dozing off in the shade, leaping after a marked prey or growling off a share of their hunt. You'll enjoy an en-route game drive from Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti. You can have an optional walk on central Serengeti after a few days sitting in the safari Jeep. You will get time to stretch your legs for a 2-hour walk with an armed ranger.

Today, you have an early morning game drive in the crater to view wildlife for a full-day crater tour with a picnic lunch down into the crater. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant
African elephants. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen there.
After lunch, you will drive back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will have an easy start to the day. You will have a short drive to Mto wa Mbu village and meet your local guide who will take you for a 2 to 3-hour exploration of a local town and village. You'll have time to explore and interact with the local community, learn their way of living, and participate/see how they make a banana beer. You will enjoy a local lunch.
After the excursion, you will transfer to the airport.
