Itinerary
Your 10-day Serengeti migration safari begins here. Today, after your breakfast you will depart to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. You will reach the main gate and after registration, you will proceed into the park for a safari game drive. You'll have a picnic lunch inside the park. After lunch, you'll continue with the game drive. Later, you'll head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will have a morning breakfast followed by a long safari to Serengeti National Park. It will take you about seven hours to reach the main gate. On your way, you will have the option to pass via Olduvai Gorge for a historical tour. At the main gate, you will have your packed lunch. Later, you'll transfer to the park for the next game drive before it gets dark. You will have dinner and a hot shower at the park before your overnight stay.

You will spend much of your 10-day Serengeti wildebeest safari in this park. Therefore, today you will spend a full day driving in Serengeti. The game drive will take you to the kopjes famous for a large number of carnivores resting there to wait for their prey during night time, also along the plain where migration of wildebeest commonly occurs. Later, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Serengeti needs someone to have a full-day drive. This is due to its large size and diversity of animals in habitats. For instance, in the plain where wildlife does migrate, kopjes are the resting area of predators looking for distant prey, and in the riverine areas, you can experience the drama of crocodiles catching wildebeest as they cross to another side. All these will be explored during morning and evening safari drives.

You'll spend this day in Serengeti for a full day's game drives. The trip will involve tracking migratory wildebeest crossing the Mara River from the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne-colored hills of Kenya's Masai Mara. Over 2+ million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras, gazelles, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain-ripened grass. Your overnight stay will be at camps.

After having breakfast, you will drive to central Serengeti while enjoying wildlife viewing including tracking more migration of animals mainly wildebeest and zebras. You will have your lunch somewhere at the picnic site. Later, you'll proceed inside the park for a short game tour before night. You will drive to view the kopjes and other plain areas for animal viewing. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

The safari from Serengeti to Ngorongoro will start after the early morning game drive in Serengeti. Thereafter, you will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Masai Boma for a cultural tour. After the tour visit ends, you will continue with a safari to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is where you will stay at the lodge for your overnight stay.

Today, you will have a tour of Ngorongoro Crater by moving down to the rim of the floor. This area is rich in wild animals and varieties of vegetation patterns. It is a place where the Big Five animals may be seen easily. You will have your lunch at the picnic site inside the crater. Later, you will drive to Karatu for an overnight stay at the lodge.

Early in the morning, you will depart with a breakfast box and pick a local guide on the way for a hunting trip with the bushmen of the Hadzabe tribe who are also wild fruit gatherers. After a hunting trip with the Hadzabe tribe, you will also visit the Datoga blacksmith tribe for a cultural tour.
The Hadza Bushmen of western Tanzania are a dying race isolated from the rest of Africa by language and culture and an absolute refusal to update from the ancient way of living. They travel light with minimal possessions sleeping in caves or on the ground in overnight grass shelters as feral as the land itself. Later, you will drive back to the lodge for a hot lunch and relax until the next day.
