Itinerary
You'll be picked up from your hotel after breakfast and driven to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. The park is perfect for bird watching as the park has over 300 species of birds. You'll go to the lodge, which is outside the park.

Serengeti National Park in Central Seronera is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the Big Five, named for the 5 most prized trophies taken by hunters. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. The reclusive leopards are commonly seen in the Seronera area.
You'll enjoy the game drive until lunchtime, when your driver will set and prepare the table for a hot meal of soup, bread rolls, the main dish, and fruit salad. This will be followed by a glass of wine, tea, or coffee. After lunch, your search continues for the big cats and the Big Five.
