This middle-level tour presents you with what the Northern safari circuit provides. This is where you will get to see wildlife in its most natural state while admiring some of nature’s most stunning creations. One of the highlights of this journey will be the unlikely visit to the Serengeti National Park. Migration is the largest movement of the herbivores, especially wildebeest, which is trailed by many zebras and other wild animals from the Serengeti ecosystem. These animals exhibit an annual cycle of movement that is relatively easy to anticipate.

A representative from Lion King Safaris will be there to welcome you from the airport and take you to the accommodation in Arusha where you will use more of your time acclimatizing and preparing to start your journey. After breakfast, a guide will pick you up from your accommodation and then proceed with a car drive to the Lake Manyara National Park. This park is a relatively small one but it is very diverse and it is locted 120km west of Arusha. The park gets its name from a huge shallow salt water lake. This covers a large stretch in the park, shrinks and expandable with the changing seasons and supports over thousands of flamingos and more than 500 species of birds. While exploring the parks you will find monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants and lions sprawled out in the trees if they are around. This park has become famous for its varied geography. It has not only grassland but also a region with monkeys and tree-suspended landscapes and acacia trees cliffs.
After a game drive in the park, you will proceed to one of our comfortable, moderate grade accommodation lodges near the park. Your lodgings have been chosen by us based on the high quality of the establishments we represent. You can also enjoy the food and drinks in a restaurant with a large space to sit and even take time to swim in the pool or take a nap on the comfortable bed in the large room.

After breakfast, you will proceed to an area of Iraqw people that grows wheat, coffee, and corn in the highland regions. While on your way you will have a view of the Ngorongoro Crater as you proceed to the famous Serengeti, where you will have arrived by mid morning.
Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park covers the largest area of the country’s national parks and covers approximately 14,763 km2. It has many biome territories like grassland, swamp, lake, savannah, and mountain. It hosts the largest wildebeest and Zebra migration where during the right period, one is likely to find thousands of these animals searching for pasturage or water.
After the game drive you will exit the park and proceed to the lodge/ camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Today entailed full day game driving in the Serengeti National Park. Various animals can be found in the Serengeti plain such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, great migrating herds of wildebeest and so on. The movement is defined by the rain, which also differs from season to season and year to year. November and December are the months that most of the animals migrate from the northern region, where it is characterized by woodland and hills to the southern, grassy plains. The second migration is a longer one and occurs from April to June, which is the rainy season. Apart from these herds in movement, you may easily encounter predators, including leopards, cheetahs and lions that are never far behind.

This will be the last day we spend in the sun-baked plains of the Serengeti, literally translated means ‘the place of endless plains’ from the language of the local Masai tribe. By now you will be an expert! He/She will ensure that you visit the best areas for game viewing.

Day two in the Serengeti starts with an early breakfast before you proceed for a game drive in the park again. It is also possible to see “Big Five”-lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard before going to the Ngorongoro Crater. There are no fences in the reserves where the animals reside which makes it easier to watch the game in its natural habitat. The first point of contact with the crater’s perimeter will allow you to have a sneak preview of what you will encounter the following day: streams , open grasslands and priceless numbers of animals. You will be accommodated at one of our mid-range accommodation partners where you will spend the night as you take your dinner.

In the morning after having your breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This World Heritage site has been created millions of years ago and has been estimated to be about 610 miles deep with an approximate surface area of about 260 square kilometers. In terms of animal density of about twenty five thousand animals, the crater arguably remains the best place to see game among various parks in Tanzania. Within a few minutes you will be able to sight wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the over 500 bird species in the park. Perhaps, if you are lucky enough, you can spy a black rhino among tall blades of grass.
Later in the evening after lunch you will climb the steep slopes of the crater and retire at one of our mid range lodges in Karatu, from one of our select partners. You will dine in a large and stylish restaurant, refresh yourself in a swimming pool, and in a large room with comfortable furniture you will dream about wildcats!

In the morning you will embark on a road trip to the final stop of this incredible Tanzania safari which is the Tarangire National Park. It is also famous for having large herds of elephants. Several animals can be viewed from the open roof of the vehicle and these include zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants and giraffes while in the tarangire the seasons wetlands and savannahs are explored which is a habitant of several other big animals. Perhaps, one-day you will see a lion hunting or leopards observing each other or just relaxing in trees.
At the end of the day, you will take a game drive through the park before proceeding back to Arusha.

The planned safari involves spending a night at Lake Manyara, in the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro highlands as well as near Tarangire National Park and again, transfers are provided after a day of adventure.
Depending on what you want to see, the best time to go on the 8-Day Mid-Range Serengeti Migration Safari would be as follows. If you wish to witness the dramatic river crossings then the best time is between July and September when the wildebeests and zebras try to cross the Mara River with crocodiles in pursuit. During December through to March, the game herds congregate in the south of the Serengeti plains for calving, which presents great hunting opportunities for predators. April and May are relatively rainy but it makes the roads much worse and there are not as many people and the vegetation is green.
The 8-Day Mid-Range Serengeti Migration Safari is considered to be relatively easy, as most of the activities include game viewing in a 4 x 4 wheel drive vehicle. There are no aggressive trails but people are advised they will be doing a lot of car driving on banged up roads, especially in the Serengeti. Several lodges and camps may necessitate short hiking trails from the dining area to the guest rooms. If you are physically challenged in any way, it is advised that you let the safari operators know well in advance so that certain adjustments can be made in order to accommodate your needs.
When it comes to attire, comfortable casual plain colored and breathable clothes should be worn for the 8-Day Mid-Range Serengeti Migration Safari. Long-sleeved shirt and perhaps a jacket are helpful to wear during the early morning and in the evening because the weather is chilly for game viewing.
